Welcome to STAMPS TO KNOWLEDGE, where we display US Postage Stamps mainly on FIRST DAY COVERS and attempt to give you a bit of history behind each stamp issue. We hope to peak an interest in those who don't collect and help them develope a passion for this hobby as I and thousands of others already have.

Did you know that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was an avid collector of stamps, or the New York Public library, The Smithsonian institute, and the Queen of England all have huge collections of stamps.Their collections are of World Wide issues. This is not to say only the rich or large corporations can collect stamps. I happen to be neither of these, yet I have been collecting for over 30 years. There are so many different ways to collect and the prices vary widely due to the competition and advent of the internet. NOW we all can afford to enjoy this fantastic hobby.
Oh FYI Postage stamps increase in value yearly....
